Why consider a franchise?
Why not just go it alone?
From CEO and Founder, Jerry A. Jones
The answer lies in the question and its consequences…you’re alone. And, no one but your family cares whether you’re ultimately successful or not. When you franchise, you’re not alone. You’re part of a hand-picked group of like-minded Dentists and experienced business folks, a can-do, positive culture, all as interested in your success as you are. In fact, as part of the Wellness Springs Dental® family, you’ll never practice “alone” again!
A Startling Discovery
Over the last two decades, I’ve conducted well over one hundred interviews of successful dentists and other business owners. In those conversations, I noted specific business and personal characteristics. Curious, I then studied their individual impact on success. I concluded that no Dentist would ever be successful in the long or short term without five specific core principles my work revealed. What’s more, no one in Dentistry had established this link before or since.
Wellness Springs Dental® was built using these five core principles I discovered. It’s these principles that make up our unique Success Platform:
- Solid Business Systems
- Reliable Business Support
- Personal Growth Training & Education (Business & Clinical)
- Future Planning/Transitions
- A Congruent Lifestyle
Lacking in any of the five areas above means you’ll never reach your potential for success or financial independence.
The Wellness Springs Dental® Franchise was designed from the ground-up to integrate these five Success Platform principles. And, from everything I’ve seen, heard, or, used in Dentistry, there has never been a single source that addresses all five simultaneously, while allowing you to prosper as a Dentist in solo practice, yet, not be all alone.
Why Can’t I Just Battle It Out On My Own?
You might also be thinking, “Why not just battle it out, alone? This commoditization trend will eventually fizzle out, won’t it?” I can’t predict the future, but I can share the fate physicians suffered: There are nothing but a handful of independent family physicians left – my own personal physician recently converted over to concierge care from group practice because even in that environment, he could no longer afford to practice!
I can share with you how hard it is for many Dentists out there today, to continue to battle, solo, on their own, rising overhead, rising regulatory burden, lower reimbursements, PPO control – and that’s not even getting into the challenges every practice has with staff, training, new patient flow, and on and on. But I know you’re familiar with the stories, second-hand or personally. It’s just not being tough mentally that’s required, it’s having deep pockets and having a sound fiscal approach.
In my landmark paper released mid-2013, The State of Dentistry, I revealed 7 shocking truths about the future of Dentistry. The fate of the solo practice Dentist has been written. It includes more group practices, more chain/corporate practices and fewer solo docs. This doesn’t bode well for those unprepared or timid to make the switch and become aggressive in not just marketing, but staffing (education, compensation, etc.), training, and, overhead control. The ill-equipped will suffer. In many areas, they already are.
