There are a lot of transition options available in dentistry. Many require you to cede ownership of your practice. Still others want you to “keep it as it is” and sneak their systems in through the back door.
My big question to you is, why give up ownership of something you’ve worked hard to build, if you don’t have to?
No doubt you’ve invested blood, sweat and tears to get where you are today in private practice, so why give up and give in to some corporate entity where you’ll be known as Practice #1095?
When I counsel my dental practice clients, dentists like you, about selling or “affiliating” with a Big Chain, the first question I ask is, “WHY? What do you expect to be different? And, are you prepared for the inevitable change that may well go against how you do dentistry and on whom?”
There’s an old saying, “There’s a rear-end for every seat.” Just because there’s a seat at Big Dentistry’s table doesn’t mean you have to “take it.”
If you’d like to maintain ownership, 100%, and create a practice that truly is autonomous and opted-out of the Big Chain takeover, or the Walmart-like pricing schemes some are engaged in, if you believe in earning a fair profit for the work, equity and risk you have invested, and Big Chains aren’t for you, explore the website. Perhaps a Wellness Springs Dental franchise might be for you.
